This beautifully restored castle, crafted by the famous architect Sir Robert Lorimer, blends historic charm with timeless elegance, making it a premier destination with a legacy of grandeur.
With a thousand-year history, Lympne Castle has welcomed royalty, nobility, and cultural icons. Distinguished visitors include King Henry VIII, composer Sir Thomas Beecham, and the Archbishop of Canterbury. Modern icons like Paul McCartney, who recorded his Wings album Back to the Egg here, and Mick Jagger have also enjoyed its storied atmosphere. Set on 145 scenic acres, which include ancient Roman ruins, the castle offers breathtaking views of the Romney Marsh and, on clear days, stretches as far as the French coastline. Perfect fairy tale wedding So glad we went with Lympne Castle for our wedding. They were so attentive throughout the whole process and our coordinator Joy was super helpful and accommodating. They really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and exactly how we wanted it, while also giving us really helpful expert advice. The venue itself is breath-taking, all our guests were floored at the views across the fields and the sea, and of course the beautiful castle itself. It really made us feel like we were in a fairy-tale wedding. Although the weather meant we had to hold the ceremony inside instead of on the lawn as we’d planned, this was not a problem at all as the indoor space is so gorgeous and looking back, we wouldn’t have it any other way. The food provided was amazing, can’t recommend highly enough. They made sure everyone’s dietary needs were met, and the guests all enjoyed their meals immensely. The staff were great throughout, made everything so easy and run so smoothly. Can’t recommend this venue highly enough all round!

We had our wedding here in October and everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was. Not only that, but the staff were incredible. They adapted so much to our last minute changes due to health issues, and were there with us every step of the way through an already stressful day, and helping us set up a live video stream so that my mum was able to see the ceremony. Stunning venue, beautiful people, amazing accommodation. They also accommodated our 8 weeks old puppy at last minute without a hitch. Thank you for making our day so special. Lympne Castle could not have made our wedding day more special, it was a beautiful and intimate occasion from start to finish. We got to decorate the chairs as we liked and having the rooms to get changed in made it very easy in the end. The food was good and the staff very helpful, especially Mike and Laura. Everything was thought about and all ideas welcomed and accommodated where possible. We had the best day and would repeat it in a heartbeat to soak it all up again.
